With the visit of Dutchman R3hab still fresh in the minds of Ireland’s dance fans and an eagerly anticipated show with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike on the horizon, Residence is delighted to announce another world class visitor to our shores. An icon of modern dance music Kaskade is now set for his Residence debut. On March 8th he will bring his progressive anthems to The Wright Venue for what promises to be a landmark night.

Kaskade | BIO
It takes an incredible amount of hard work and dedication to carve out a signature sound as distinctive as Kaskade. His beautifully constructed melodies have put him on a pedestal as a master producer and one of dance music’s leading artists over the course of the last ten years.

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, igniting his love for melody and lyrics. He was also strongly influenced by the House music hotbed that is Chicago. Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums. Early success came in the form of tracks like ‘4am’ and ‘Remember Me’ (alongside Deadmau5) before progressing to hits like ‘Fire In Your Shoes’ which featured the vocals of Dragonette. His most recent album the massively successful ‘Fire & Ice’ saw the introduction of an innovative double-sided project. The Fire disc contains ten original songs, his dancefloor weapons, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs. The album shows off the creativity and versatility of Raddon in a unique and enterprising fashion.

The New York Times may have called him the “new face of electronic dance music” in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, aka Kaskade, has been consistently leading the way for electronic music over the past decade. We have seen seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, countless Beatport top tens, chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, and appearances at every major club and festival in the world. The man has marked himself as an innovator in the ever-expanding realm of dance music. He is also without doubt one of the main drivers of the current explosion of dance music stateside. Alongside the likes of Tiesto, Skrillex and Deadmau5 he has brought electronic music to a larger than ever audience.

Kaskade has also developed a superlative reputation for his intricate live sets no doubt fine tuned while holding down his ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club and Marquee he has played a part in making Vegas a clubbing destination to compare with the heavyweights of London and Ibiza. His visit to Ireland is certainly one of the most exciting developments for electronic music this year and his devout followers will no doubt relish the prospect of seeing their man headline his first ever Residence show.
